Title Design

Image
The font we chose we used in the title project was called Horizon. The colors we used were back and white like printing with no color ink.  The title as of right now is going to be “Where’s Tae?” We will use a fade-in and fade-out transition to introduce the titles and the actor's names will come up in the very beginning as they are walking into the house for the sleepover. The actors' names will appear each for one second and the title “Where the will appear at the end of our short film for 3 to 5 seconds.

Script: Where's Tae

From: https://www.artofthetitle.com/  What titles are displayed?  The names displayed are the company the made is made by, the names of different actors, the names of the cast members, sound designers, whole film editors, production designers, photographers, directors, and the scene's date and time.  What images are prioritized in the opening sequence:  The images prioritized were the old run-down neighbor: a body of water, old run-down houses, abandoned and broken down houses, old run-down motels, and old dark and dirty alleys that are all very dark.  How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the of the genre:  The dialogue from the voiceover at the beginning where the man mentions what he loves about his wife and mentions the many violent things he wants to do to her while caressing her head. Also, the low music and low lighting give the film an eerie feeling.

Title Research : Watch-the-Titles

Image
The website I am researching today is Watch the Titles. The reason for researching this site is to explore it to see whether it would help me create my title. This website was recommended by my teacher to help with our title design. This website includes articles and a drop-down menu that has different designers and studios. It even has a search bar to search for any movie. When you click on a title sequence it shows the video, an article, and the list of credits. I can easily navigate the site and read articles to find more information about the designers. This website shows feature films, tv shows, event titles, student projects, and more. It also has the interviews of the different designers. I believe this website will be very helpful in helping when we are creating our title design.
