Getting Ideas Together

Hey blog, I'm going to explain long the process of making this commercial about myself. After having Ms.Marchionne explain countless times I thought I finally got the gist of things. I first began by asking my mom to send me pictures of myself from when I was a baby till now. Then I looked for pictures on my own and asked my friends for pictures. My thought process behind this was they were going to timeline of my life. However, then I got an even better idea from I previous TikTok trend I had seen. "A 15-second video getting to know me before you become friends with me or something along the lines of that. If you on TikTok you have probably seen that trend going on. After that, I looked up videos on simple ways to edit because I never edited a video or even pictures till now. I also looked up other All About Me commercials to give me ideas about what else I could add to my personal commercial. After that, I began gathering more pictures and started to make a draft edit. It wasn't very good at this point since the video only consisted of 4 pictures. I hadn't chosen a song yet either because I wanted to do a voice-over explaining the different pieces of media I was going to add. I was struggling to find what I wanted to edit because I never edited something before unless you could count cropping a picture on my phone. I thought of using iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and adobe because those were some platforms I heard people use that were considered good. However, the problem with those was that I had to pay and as much as I wanted all my products to look good I wasn't fully on board with paying to use either. Then I researched for editing platforms that were free and found: LightWorks, Clip Champ, Openshot, and Cap Cut. I ended up choosing cap cut for this assignment because my teacher told me it's what a lot of students used in the past. I can also download it on my phone in order to get work started on the go. The last reason I chose cap cut is because I see a lot of people on TikTok use it for their edits and I wanted to try it out as well. Tune in next time for what's next on how I put this together. Reshoot The second day we were editing we began to look over all the camera angles we originally planned to include. We were missing three: a shot reverse shot, an establishing shot, and a low angle. For the shot reserve shot, we planned to have Keron and Christel arguing to get Keron's pov of the agreement. For the establishing shot, we wanted to show the friends pulling into the drive and showing around the house as they ate pulling in. For the Low angle, we wanted to record Cgristel's reaction as she opened the box and took out the note. Then we discussed a date to reshoot. We added all our actors to a group chat and told them we had to reshoot and why. We also told them to wear the same exact clothes. We told them the date and time we needed them and Kaydiane's house. Editing Part 2& Adding Music

Today we first started looking at different effects, Then as we were looking for places we were going to incorporate non-diegetic sounds. Then we went on an AI sound-generating website to find typing noises, but none sounded good. So then we began looking for sound effects within the Flimora app.  Kaydiane then recorded herself typing and we uploaded the sound to the beginning of the film which was perfect. We went on YouTube and searched for no copyrighted music. After a long search for instrumentals, we finally found one. Our film was really coming together. The problem came when we needed the movie to fade out for Keron's comment and the crickets. It just didn't flow. We then went on YouTube again to extract cricket sound effects that we liked better. We also split the sounds so certain background sounds fight in their respective scenes for what was going on in the scenes. Reshoot

 The day came to reshoot.  I was late. That was really bad coming from me especially since I was like everyone needs to make sure they're on time but I wasn't on time it was for a situation like this I wanted everyone there at 4. Foruntainntally for me, I wasn't the only one late. I had to get my hair done. Chatae went shopping. Isabella lives all the way in Hollywood and her parents had an emergency before they dropped her off. Fortunately, we were all there by 6: 20 and began filming at 6:47. Before filming we blew some ballons because we had ballons the last time we filmed. Then we wrapped some boxes to look likes gifts so our scenes were as identical as possible from the last time.  We turned on the house light outside and everyone got ready for our new scene.
