Putting It All Together
There's so much that goes into making any type of film. Your plan and what inspires your storyboard. to actors and props. To the different scenes you use. The way you chose to film, for example, the angles you choose to use. The sounds play an important role. All of these come together to help make a great film. However, today I'm going to be talking about what I believe may be the most important, editing. Without editing films look incomplete and editing helps ensure that films are clear to your viewers when presented. That's what Kaydiane and I hope to accomplish while filming. Since we were not together when we first began to edit Kaydiane FaceTimed me to ensure I saw what was happening and could put my input. If I'm being honest because we did such a good job filming editing wasn't as hard. On the very first day of editing, we put all the shots we planned to use together in the order they were in our storyboard. There were only a few scenes we had to cut short so they fit into the storyline of our music video. We began with the first few scenes adding transitions we thought flowed well with our video. For example, since Chatae took a picture of Avionee in scene one we use a camera frame transition of her leaving the park. We decided not to add a transition where Chatae first took a picture of Avione Avoine at the park sitting and talking to his friends because we felt that the way we filmed it flowed perfectly and it already looked good. Since scene four ends with a wall and scene 5 begins with one or transition was very clean from those two scenes. Then after those are where we had to take time and choose transitions to make our video look good. So, to transition to scene 6 we used a transition called push. It subtly transitioned us into the next scene then we used another subtle transition slightly different than push to transition us into scene 7. We stopped for the day because I had to go home but I'll keep you guys updated on what we do next.
